Additionally, Tamer Yiğit, contributes to the storyline of Ertugrul Ghazi.

Osman, the Son of Ertugrul:

Everyone calls him ‘Kara Osman’ which translates to ‘Black Osman.’ The word ‘Kara’ signifies black. The brave Osman got his name from his courageous deeds. Climbing onto the back of a wild horse and shooting arrows without looking back was his favorite game. Another beloved game of his was Mongolian wrestling. The horse, galloping at a furious pace, carried him, a handsome youth, holding a bow with a curved shape in his hand. With firm control using the reins on the horse’s neck, the youth ascended from the horse’s back using both feet, a powerful and handsome young man. The young man’s eyes were not on the front but on a distant tree. He wanted the fruit from that tree. How could he get to the tree without climbing it? The youth decided; instead of heading straight for the tree, he would shoot in the opposite direction.

As he veered off, Osman skillfully increased the speed of the horse. When the horse leaped into the air, he released the arrow from the bow’s string. The arrow, separate from the fruit, fell to the ground. Running to the tree, he picked up the arrow. With certainty, he began to eat the fruit. His tousled black hair danced in the Anatolian breeze, bringing with it the scent of the mountains. The Mongol Khan’s army had breached the walls of Baghdad and invaded the city. In that same winter, in the heart of Anatolia, in a small town named Soğut, Artagrul Bey’s house witnessed the birth of a child. They named him Osman, meaning ‘he who is lost in thought.’

Attacked by the Byzantines in Kuluja Hisar, Osman faced defeat, and burdened by grief, he falls asleep at the end of his prayers. In his dream, he sees—rising from the book of Sheikh Edeb Ali, a moon emerged and settled into his chest. Then, from his navel, a giant Boddhi tree emerged. The tree, lush with green branches, surpassed four mountain ranges. Balkan, Alburj, Kakeshas, and Atlas. From the trunk of the tree, four rivers flowed into the book: the Danube, the Euphrates, the Tigris, and the Nile. But suddenly, the leaves of the tree turned blue, and the wind began to blow into the book. Against the backdrop of Constantinople, the wind started its journey. He felt the wind lifting a leaf one by one, towards a central point in Anatolia. As the leaves reached, the wind began to fill the book with the fragrance of spring. It started from Constantinople, a breeze that carried the scent of blossoming flowers. When it reached the center, Constantinople, a small vortex formed.

Osman, holding the tree in his hands, approached Constantinople. When he was about to place the tree in the center, a vortex arose from the book.
