1. Chaos and Disunity in the Muslim World:
In the beginning, when Muslims lived peacefully from Anatolia to the Holy City of Jerusalem, justice and peace prevailed. However, the Crusaders, fearing the existence of Christians, decided to unite and destroy Muslims. They invaded Islamic lands, killing Muslims, including women and children. Mosques were destroyed, and the Qur’an was burned. Chaos and bloodshed spread everywhere, leading to disunity among Muslims. Ultimately, the Crusaders captured the holy city of Jerusalem, unleashing violence and persecution.
2. Birth of Selahaddin Eyyubi and a New Chapter:
Amir Nuruddin, witnessing the destruction and killings, awaited the birth of a child in his house who would bring peace from Anatolia to Jerusalem. Sadly, his wife passed away during childbirth, shattering Amir Nuruddin’s dreams. Simultaneously, Amir Vihruz plotted against Amir Nizmeddin Ayyubi. Amir Nizmeddin, with his family, including his pregnant wife Fatema Hatoon, faced challenges on their way to Jengi state.
Amir Nizmeddin entrusted his younger sons and brother with the task of reaching Amir Nuruddin safely, fearing Amir Vihruz’s pursuit. Fatima Hatun gave birth to a son while Amir Vihruz attacked Amir Nizmeddin. Amir Nuruddin, upon learning the details, led his troops to rescue Amir Nizmeddin and beheaded Vihruz. In gratitude, Amir Nizmeddin pledged allegiance to Amir Nuruddin for protection.
In return, Amir Nuruddin sought Amir Nizmeddin Ayyubi’s newborn child to secure the justification of the Muslim world, including Jerusalem, and determine the successor of the Seljuk kingdom. Due to uncertainties in the Seljuk kingdom’s future, Amir Nuruddin declared Ayub Bey’s son, Salahuddin Zengi, as his own son, vowing to raise him as the rightful heir.
