In episode 2, we witnessed that Salahuddin is planning an attack with the support of the morning army. The chief commander, Victoria, and Bandi, Raja Baldwin’s sister, were present in that army. This information also reached Gabriel.

In episode 3, we saw that Salahuddin has captured Victoria and the chief commander. Gabriel comes to rescue them, but Salahuddin negotiates with Victoria and the chief commander in exchange for Gabriel, wanting to free Suraiya Hatun’s brother and all the prisoners.

Despite being Raja Baldwin’s sister and Gabriel’s lover, Victoria agrees to the exchange. Gabriel proposes a one-on-one battle with Salahuddin. The winner gets what they want. Salahuddin agrees to this proposal. Just then, Suraiya Hatun’s brother, Sahar, attacks Gabriel with an arrow. Gabriel retreats without any conditions.

Raja Baldwin seizes Ascalon and imprisons Gabriel’s soldiers. He accuses Gabriel of betraying Victoria, as Gabriel cannot rescue her. Raja Baldwin plans to execute Gabriel unless he helps in the prisoners’ release. Meanwhile, in Damascus, the traitor conveys the information to Imad that Salahuddin is planning an attack using the Hormuz Mountain.

When Imad was playing chess in Saracen, Gabriel arrives, offering to work in the palace. Before this, Imad had informed Gabriel about the attack using the Hormuz Mountain through a letter. Now, Imad denies this information, and Gabriel turns to Sultan Nuruddin for help. Sultan Nuruddin gives Gabriel one day to prove the existence of the traitor.

In episode 5, Sultan Nuruddin gets severely injured. When Salahuddin leaves the prisoners at the harbor, a masked Crusader army attacks. Sultan Nuruddin is defending the harbor when a masked Crusader wearing a hood attacks the prisoners. When unmasked, it is revealed to be Gabriel.

Gabriel goes to Suraiya Hatun and offers a deal. He will release Halil under one condition – if he helps Salahuddin to move away from the prisoners, releasing Victoria and the chief commander. Initially hesitant, Suraiya Hatun eventually agrees and lies to the prisoners about trusting Salahuddin.

Sultan Nuruddin, seriously injured, is defending the harbor. When he reaches to unmask the Crusader, the Crusader strikes him with a knife.
